GUEST REVIEW: My Fitness Diary

GUEST REVIEW: My Fitness Diary

Our latest guest review comes from the lovely Rachel, of Run with Rachel, who has very kindly agreed to share her thoughts on our fitness diary. Having gone from non runner to marathon runner herself, we think she is the perfect candidate to road test it for us!

Review: My fitness diary

Keeping on top of a fitness regime, especially in the winter months can be pretty challenging. It's cold, the nights are dark and it's easy to hide any winter weight gain under chunky knitwear.

Fortunately the lovely people over at stationery geek have devised this fabulous little planner to help keep you motivated and on top of your health and fitness goals.

What it looks like:

It's a6, spiral bound with a kraft cover. The perfect size to pop in your handbag or gym bag and record your workouts on the go!

On the inside:

The first few pages of the diary contain useful charts for measuring and recording weight loss. There is space for you to record your measurement changes each month for 3 months.

After that each double page spread consists of a daily food diary on the left and a workout planner on the right. This is split into handy sections so you can log your weights, cardio and gym classes.

There are also sections to log your water intake and log your steps if you use a fitbit.

And my favourite bit - the smiley faces. Not every work out will be great, and that is fine, but the only bad work out is the one you didn't do!

Track yourself to success:

When you’re trying to fit exercise into a super busy schedule, it can be easy to miss “just one” day, sometimes that spans into several days and before you know it a week has flown by and you've not so much as looked at your trainers!

I like to plan my week in advance and then highlight each work out when I've completed it. That way I know exactly what I am doing. This diary is perfect for that.

Don't be that person who joins a gym in January and cancels in February....

Set yourself up for success with this handy little diary. It has enough space for 6 weeks of journalling, after which point you'll be seeing the benefits and determined to keep going!
